Acknowledgement

A venture like Sandhyarag, the first compilation of some of the works of the members of the WaaS group, albeit humble at birth, would not have been born without their enthusiasm, cheer, active participation and contribution. So, the first note of gratitude is due them.

The second note of gratitude is reserved for Sudip Roy, the founder member of the group and its administer, who in spite of his active schedule of work (and play – with the romance of poetry) devoted time and attention to this venture, organizing the necessary editorial resources, keeping up the continuous stream of communication with the members regarding the venture, and egging on the diffident authors for submissions with suave assurance.

Though the compilation has mostly contributions from the members of WaaS, yet a few were procured from three non-members to add variety. So, the third note of gratitude is expressed for these intrepid authors, namely, in alphabetical order:

    Aniruddha Sen         Arabinda Ghosh
    Arup Kumar Goswami    Ashok Roy
    Biswajyoti Bagchi     Manas Ghosh
Milton K Paul         Nabendu B Sengupta
    Nachiketa Satpathy    Ranjit Banerjee
    Sarbanidas Roy        Shishir K Mishra
    Sudip Roy             Sukalyan Basu
    Tapas K Datta         Udayan Dasgupta
    Ujjwal Sengupta

Of the above, Arup Kumar Goswami, Ranjit Banerjee and Sukalyan Basu are non-members.

Various graphics used in the pages have been sourced from commonly available material on the Internet to add a splash of imagery to the pages. The cover-page, for example, has been prepared with images taken from:http://hinduism.about.com/od/basics/ss/The-Six-Seasons-of-India_<n>.htm While it is not possible to acknowledge all of them individually, no claim is made for these borrowed items. Some of the images have been scanned from published material, such as the background motif of the pages, which was the cover page of আজকাল, শারদ সংখ্যা, ১৪২০. Hence, their contribution is acknowledged here.

The last, but not the least, note of thanks is offered in advance to the dear readers who, the editors fervently hope, will toil through the pages and enjoy the voyage.

No separate note of thanks is required for the editors, since the reading of the pages by the readers will suffice for that, it is hoped.
